Social Security & SSI Benefits

If you apply for Social Security or Supplemental Security Income benefits on or after May 1, 2011, you must receive your payments electronically. If you did not sign up for electronic payments when you applied for benefits, we strongly urge you to do it now.

The U.S. Department of the Treasury is requiring federal benefit recipients to switch to electronic payments by March 1, 2013.

If you currently receive federal benefit checks and you have a bank account with us, you can sign up for Direct Deposit right now.

Visit your personal banker today and they will help you sign up! Or you can contact the local office of the agency providing your federal benefits directly.
